During tournaments, Shikhar’s aim is to only maintain the strength. He majorly goes for 2-3 gym sessions per week. Shikhar Dhawan’s exercise consists of 1 or 2 cardio sessions along with lots of mobility training. He is also into weight training and powerlifting both.

“My workout set includes a half-hour warm-up session, which comprises glute exercises, mobility training and stretching, after which I engage in push press — basically, it’s a full body workout involving power training, lateral pull downs, and sit-ups. I concentrate a lot on my core. I enjoy pumping my biceps the most, while glute workouts are quite boring,”

Shikhar personally is a huge follower of yoga and he strictly believes that one should practice yoga every single day. Also, he himself begins with breathing exercises every day and then does Surya Namaskar which increases the flexibility in his body.

He is also into Sarvangasana which is the mother of all exercises. Other than this he also practices running every day which improves blood circulation and burns off extra calories from his body. He also loves swimming as it helps him to stay toned and in proper shape.

Shikhar Dhawan’s Diet Plan

The Delhi boy is known to have a full proof plan. He is known to consume a combination of carbohydrates, fats, and protein. Grilled chicken, fish, mashed potatoes, broccoli, sautéed vegetables are regulars on his plate. He is also a huge fan of seasonal vegetables and he also likes to consume fruits on a daily basis.

On his cheat days, he consumes aloo parantha, mutton rogan josh, chicken curry, and dosa.
